The Full Story Of
Holmen Youth Dance
After coaching varsity dance team for 9 years, 6 of which for Holmen High School, we recognized the interest and opportunity for a unique dance training for the elementary and middle school age groups. Many dance studios in our area excel at training the individual, but may come at a hefty cost. Our focus is not only on individual growth, but fostering a team environment and applying the same fundamentals in a different way - focusing on technique and pom and jazz styles only.
Mission
Holmen Youth Dance trains dancers ages K-8 to be confident individuals and team players in all aspects of life. Our mission is to develop our youth on and off the dance floor to help them succeed in their future endeavors.
Core Values
-
Confidence. Cultivate a supportive and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to take risks, perform with boldness, and trust in their abilities. By celebrating each dancer’s progress and achievements, we help them develop a strong sense of self-belief and resilience.
-
Teamwork. Promote collaboration and the value of working together. Encourage students to support and uplift each other, share ideas, and contribute to a positive group dynamic.
-
Respect. Foster a culture of mutual respect among dancers and coaches. Encourage respect for individual differences, opinions, and personal space, and promote a positive and supportive atmosphere.
-
Perseverance. Teach the importance of hard work, dedication, and resilience. Help students understand that improvement comes with practice and persistence, and celebrate their progress and efforts.
